Food Security
Delivering food and essential supplies directly to housebound elderly community members — because no one should be left behind.
Many elderly community members are unable to leave their homes due to illness, disability, or age. They cannot travel to food distribution points or community kitchens. They are invisible to programmes that require people to come to them. JCK Life Changers goes to them instead.
Our Door 2 Door Food Parcels programme identifies housebound elderly people in Mamelodi and delivers food parcels and essential supplies directly to their homes. We leave no one behind — not because of a slogan, but because of a conviction.
We identify recipients through church members, community leaders, and referrals from neighbours. Our volunteers build ongoing relationships with the families and individuals they serve, learning their specific needs and checking on their wellbeing during each delivery.
These deliveries are not anonymous drops — they are visits. Our volunteers sit with recipients, pray with them, and report back on any additional needs. This community intelligence helps us respond more effectively and holistically.
We are committed to regular, consistent delivery — not a one-time gesture. Recipients on our programme can count on us. This consistency is what separates JCK Life Changers from event-based charity. We come back, month after month, because hunger comes back month after month.
We go to the people who cannot come to us — the housebound, the sick, and the forgotten.
This is not a once-off drive. We deliver consistently so recipients can count on us when they have no other support.
Our volunteers build genuine relationships with recipients — deliveries are visits, not drops. We check in, pray, and care.
"For elderly community members affected by sickness who cannot move freely, we deliver directly to their doors — leaving no one behind."
